This is a bit of a random collection. All pictures were taken on the first day! My mom and I are desperately trying to walk as much as our little feet can stand. 14 miles on the first day! Not too bad if I say so myself. I will say that I didn't know a 27 year old could have hip problems.... but it seems they can ha. The first picture is of the clock tower at Gare de Lyon. You might recognize this from the movie Hugo... yep that's where they filmed it. Our hotel is about a block away and about 5 blocks from the Bastille. Perfect location. I was soooo excited after much combing of the city we were able to find where I lived several years ago. Glad to see that they left the door blue. Are you loving those locks on the bridge as much as I am? People write down their memories like scratching them onto a tree but its on a metal lock over looking the Notre Dame. You must be in Paris when someone ties a YSL scarf to a metal gate ha! I might have to invest. I am definitely trying to soak up every bit of culture possible. It's so odd not to see a walmart around. Everything is little shops and marches that have been around for centuries. It really is a breath of fresh air to not have corporations swallowing businesses whole over here. Time to get out of this hotel !! Love to you all.
