Weather Off

Hmm Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Haraah Denver, Colorado

Normally my Mom and Dad spend February in Fort Lauderdale.  My aunt and her family live there, and since my Dad likes to ride his bike they skip the snowy month here.  This year my Dad decided to go ride his bike in Arizona/ California while my mama stayed home.  My loving Aunt sent my Mom a picture from her porch ha!

I woke up to a blizzard this morning, the picture does not do it justice.  But, it was the perfect excuse to stay home and clean, eat chocolate and watch The Departed!  Slightly disappointed that the thrifting plans went out the window.... but really they weren't set in stone.

Now I am thinking hot chocolate, and pre-week outfit picking out.  What do you enjoy on your snow days?

  1. Snow Days....hmmmmm. I like to read stories, get cozy with blankets. Then make a cushion fort with said blankets, then pretend it is never going to stop snowing, and make believe the entire house is a snow ship that travels across the frozen Ice Age searching for adventure and survivors of the ice doom. But also Snowboard, Snowmobile, Winter Camp, Ice Fish, Ice Skate, Make real Snow forts, Snowball fights, Cross Country Ski, Snowshoe, Bonfires and Hikes. Winter lasts a long time in the upper mid-west, gotta make the best of it.

    1. I think with all of those winter skills, you would be able to save any survivors of ice doom with no problem at all. Marshmallow fires in said snow fort, while ice skating with little fishies from the frozen tundra... happiest rescue-es ever.
